Caleb Hughes selected to swim for Great Britain

Hot on the heels of his success in LEN Open Water Cup in Israel, comes news of a Great Britain swim for Caleb Hughes...

Following his great performance in Israel, Caleb Hughes has been selected to swim for GB in the European Junior Open Water Championships which take place between the 13th and 15th July 2012 in Cocaeli, Turkey. This will be Caleb's first Great Britain international.

Caleb earned his call up by finishing 5th overall in the 10k event at the LEN Open Water Cup in Eilat, Israel. Caleb recorded a time of 1 hour 54 minutes 16.75s. The event was won by the 24 year-old Russian Sergey Bolshakov in 1:54.03.75s. Caleb duly won the 15-16 year old category by a margin of one and a half minutes.

Congratulations to Caleb and good luck for July.
